You’re never alone travelling Australia – there’s always someone else on the road with you. If you happen to be in Hobart this month, you’ll find that especially true, as all these acts are travelling Australia too. Here’s our guide to what’s on in Hobart this June.

Love Like Hate: English Summer Tour
Brisbane musical duo Heather Cheketri and Sonja Ter Horst take a novel approach to guitar and piano in their English Summer Tour. They call their unique sound ‘dark pop’, which stems from mixing their differing styles of grungy electric guitar and melodic piano. After Australia they’ll move on to tour the UK, giving you bragging rights on finding them first.

When: Sat 6 June, 7pm
Where: Brisbane Hotel, 3 Brisbane Street, Hobart
Tickets only available on the door

Harts
Darren Hart is a virtuoso guitarist, songwriter and producer who’s been hard at work completing his new EP, Breakthrough. A blend of classic 70s rock and funk, he says of his music:
“What I’m saying in the songs comes from what I’m seeing around me. I believe now is a time for change. I hope my words and/or music can inspire people, and inspire action from people”.
This is his biggest tour of Australia taking in 16 venues. He’ll then move on to New Zealand, USA and the UK.

When: Fri 19 June, 7pm
Where: Republic Bar, 299 Elizabeth Street, Hobart
Price: AUD$15.30

Title Fight Australian Tour
Title Fight are a 4-piece band from Kingston, PA. They formed in 2003 while in middle school and they’ve been touring regularly ever since. Regulars on the North American festival circuit, they’re veterans of Chaos in Tejas, FYF Fest, Warped Tour, Riot Fest, and Coachella. Hyperview is their latest album, which takes an unusually (for them) muted approach to the vocals. Hear it for yourself when their tour reaches Hobart.

When: Sun 28 June, 7pm
Where: Brisbane Hotel, 3 Brisbane Street, Hobart
Price: AUD$37.75
