Queensland Reds vs Chiefs
It’s the final home match of the 2015 Super Rugby season for the Queensland Reds as they take on the 2013 champions The Chiefs from New Zealand. Old Skool Cars Show n’ Shine
If you like old cars, this is for you – although the requirement is that these cars have to be pre-86, which to some of us isn’t that old at all. Ahem.

The event is held on the first Saturday of every month, with over 500 cars supported by rock ’n’ roll music, dancers, and plenty of food stalls to keep you going. There’s also RC car racing and quad helicopter drones flying overhead.

When: 5.30pm, 6 June
Where: Corner of Anzac Avenue and North Lakes Drive, North Lakes
Cost: Free to spectators

Queensland Week 2015
Queensland Week celebrates the state’s recognition as a colony in its own right, and centres around 6 June, the state’s birthday. It’s also a celebration of the people, history, industry, and culture of Queensland.

As part of this year’s festivities, you can get involved on social media and win a prize by uploading a snap of your favourite Queensland place, painted, decorated or lit maroon (the state colour). It could be a landmark, your workplace or your home, hotel, hostel or tent. Send your snaps to #paintthetownmaroon.

When: 30 May – 7 June
Where: Different events across the state

Enerflex MS Brissie to the Bay
This sponsored cycle raises money for Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS), and it’s aiming to reach its biggest target yet of $1.6 million.

This year is particularly special as the event is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Not bad considering in its first year only 80 took part!

All of the four different courses start and finish in Musgrave Park. The longer routes have bike mechanics cycling along with you, and there are rest stops with water, fruit, and snacks to keep you fuelled up for the journey. Along all of the courses are route marshals and medical assistance should you need it.

If you’re travelling Australia by bike and are in Brisbane on 21 June, why not add a few extra miles and help raise money for a great cause?

When: 21 June
Where: Start and finish in Musgrave Park, Brisbane
Cost: Entry price varies. For adults it’s $80 for 100km course until 12 June; afterwards it’s $100. $50 for 50km, 25km, and 10km courses until the 12 June; afterwards it’s $60.
