ANZAC Day is commemorated each year on 25 April as this was the start of the Gallipoli Campaign, in Turkey, during the First World War. This year it is particularly poignant as it is the 100th anniversary of the ill-fated event where 8709 men lost their lives. This review of what’s on in Brisbane in April focuses on the ANZAC Day commemorations. For other events on in Brisbane this month, take a look at Part 1 of our review.

There will be music followed by a screening of Russell Crowe’s The Water Diviner. In the morning there will be a dawn service followed by breakfast prior to the closure of the camp.

Where: Brisbane Showgrounds Bowen Hills QLD 4006

Cost: Including dinner and breakfast: Adult $121; Concession/Junior (3-15) $99
