British High Commission In Australia

It could be help with replacing lost travel documents. It could be contacting relatives on your behalf. It could be something more serious. No traveller expects to need the help of their British Embassy or High Commission – but you’ll be thankful they’re there in an emergency.

They cannot though provide emergency funds or arrange an air ambulance if you haven’t taken out insurance.  They can just point you in the right direction.

There are consulate-generals in Sydney and Melbourne, and consulates in Brisbane and Perth. The main office for UK nationals is the British High Commission in Canberra (see sidebar for contact details).

Further details of all other Consulates can be found here.
