Snorkeling from Hamilton Island

Hi all,

I have been searching the forum and can find any recent posts about the best snorkeling trips from HI. We really would like to see some beautiful fish and coral and I wasn’t sure is reefworld was worth the long trip. It also seems you really only have a few hours to snorkel, swim etc before you need to head home.

So is Reefworld worth it ? We are a family of 5 and this would be $800 trip, or are there alternatives.

And is Chalkies beach a good snorkeling spot to see coral and fish ? The whitehaven/Chalkies trip looks good. Any advice much appreciated, the HI site only offers these 2 trips.

Oh, and should we book now for Jan or wait till we get there ?
