Stopovers to Australia: Vancouver

Yes, it seems counter intuitive: you’re heading to Australia but you’re stopping over in Canada. Yet while it will add (a little) to your overall flight time compared to a Far East stopover, you’ll find there’s much to love in Vancouver.

Not for nothing is it regarded as one of the world’s best, if not the best, places to live

It may be light on world famous landmarks, but with a mountainous backdrop, great museums, glorious galleries, parks and shopping you really won’t notice.

No.

What vaccinations do I need for Vancouver?
None – just make sure your regular UK vaccinations are up to date.

Best time to visit Vancouver?
Visit between June and September when temperatures average 20°C.

Whilst in Vancouver you must see...

Stanley Park
Take Stanley Park out of Vancouver and you take away its heart and soul. Bigger than Central Park, it’s a place for forest walks, waterfront strolls, beaches, totem poles, gardens, food and entertainment.

Pay it a visit and discover the largest park in North America is also its best.
